With so many shades available, it was really hard to choose, and because lipsticks are my favorite makeup item, I wanted everything! I’m not really a fan of Mineralize Eyeshadows of MAC because they’re usually very glittery. I feel that there are more inexpensive glitter and shimmer eyeshadows have ultimately same or better quality than MAC. Besides, I’m all for matte and satin finishes because glitter eyeshadows tend to have lots of fallout.

Essence Cosmetics is a budget beauty brand which originated in Germany. My sister gave me a sample of it when she came back from Germany, and I’m so happy to try out something that’s very rarely found here, if at all. Now they’re also available in the US, but I don’t think they’ll open to the Asian market soon. I sure hope they do, but the beauty market is currently being dominated by Korean brands.

I really wanted to collect all 5 travel palettes of Stila when they released it. I was scared that it might sell like pancakes in Rustan’s so I rushed off to purchase at least one and then vowed to come back for the others. Reading about the rave reviews on the internet on the previous year’s releases, and then seeing their amazing value, I really was praying for the the stars to align with me on this one.

I’ve always had the problem of chipping on my nails because 1) my nails are so brittle so it breaks at the slightest movement (maybe that’s exaggerated, but you get the point), 2) I do household chores and am always restless so I keep moving around all day, and 3) I haven’t applied a good basecoat, until I found this one!

I saw Yves Rocher while I was shopping in SM North EDSA by chance and didn’t even know they had opened a store here in the Philippines. I had first heard of the brand in Makeup Alley and knew they were sold by direct sellers at very cheap prices.

What attracted me was the 50% off holiday sale at their store, so I went in and bought some of their products, one of which is their Moisturizing Cream Lipstick in 51 Beige Vanille.
